
Target Clients interested in undertaking this qualification may include:
- Those who are currently working within Disability Services, Aged Care or Home and Community Care and who are seeking to up skill in order to assist with a diverse range of care plans or who want to take on supervisory and/or coordinating roles.
- Any person wanting to embark on a learning pathway within community and/or disability services. HLT provide assistance through their professional network to source relevant and appropriate work placement opportunities for Clients undertaking this qualification.
Entry Requirements
Students must be employed with, or have access to, a suitable workplace providing support to people with a disability.
Students will hold CHC33021, CHC33015 or CHC30408 (plus CHCSS00125) as pre or corequisite units.
Selection process for this qualification
Each individual will be interviewed by HealthLink Training to ensure that the student/s have the ability and desire to work in this industry and that the course meets their desired outcomes.

Delivery Mode
Healthlink training delivers all their training by face to face classroom based sessions. There is a choice to undertake the theoretical assessment component by either on-line or workbook.
This program is delivered through a combination of
- Self-paced learning
- Facilitated workshops
- Practical skills development session and
- Industry placement training and assessment
Facilitated workshops will include activities to simulate workplace requirements and circumstances and will be used to assess and monitor ongoing Client progress including:
- Workshop participation
- Group Work and Activities
- Individual Work and Activities
- Case Studies, Projects and Role Plays
Where Candidates are undertaking the Qualification as an existing worker, workplace examples, policies and procedures of the employing organisation will be utilised as available to support practical application of skills and knowledge by the Client.
